Discretionary
The investment management function is outsourced to our investment advisor, who work with finance officers to set allocation targets and portfolio objectives. Finance officers are not involved in the specific strategy, timing or trading function. They receive a portfolio report on a monthly or quarterly basis. Discretionary management works well when finance officers have a specific investment goal for a dedicated amount of funds, but they want our advisors to execute transactions, rebalance the portfolio periodically and implement various investment strategies that often involve longer-time horizons to succeed.
